Hey, everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

1, 198 emails.  That’s what I’ve come back to.  XD

How’s life?  Any new pixie happenings I should go catch up on?

I see FairyABC seems to be doing well.  My account got deleted to clear up the servrs, and I haven’t found out how to make a new one yet, so it might be a while before you see me on there.

I’m sorry for being gone so long with little to no explanation.  My internet was nonexistnet for several months, school got insanely busy, and then of course family emergencies had to pop up.  It’s been a busy while.  I’m hoping that with summer starting  in a month I’ll have lots of time on my hands to get involved again.

How is everybody?

I’m glad to be back.  🙂

Yours,

Back to School DIYs: Pixie Hollow Style

School is just around the corner on the Mainland.  My first day is in August, but quite a few other pixies start in September.  What better way to prepare for the summer to end than to make and decorate your own Pixie Hollow inspired school supplies?  Additionally, you can buy stationary and other supplies (like erasers) that give off a Pixie Hollow vibe.

Notebooks

You can buy any notebook in any style you want and then decorate it to fit your personality, fairy, or style!  I thought of three ways you can go with this (or even more if you combine them).

  1. Centering the design around Tinkerbell and her friends or other fairies (which is great for elementary school, but might be considered a little young in some higher grades).  One might even be inspired to make their notebook look similar to Lizzie’s field journal.
  2. Themeing it around nature or other aspects of Pixie Hollow, such as snowflakes for winter fairies; spider webs, dewdrops, and ripples for water talents; flowers, grass, and other plants for garden talents; your favorite creatures for animal talents; lost things for tinkers; and so on.  I really like this option because it can be a little bit more discreet and mature.
  3. The last design I came up with was quotes.  You know, like the pretty ones on images with the awesome fonts and designs that you see online all the time?  I have a Pinterest board with some examples.  You can select your own quotes and write them on the covers of your notebooks.  I recommend choosing some from Peter Pan or the Disney Fairies movies, like “Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust”.

The decorating part is pretty simple, once you know what you want it to look like.  Get creative with stickers (especially the 3D scrapbooking ones), scarpbooking papers, rhinestons, glitte glue, and different colored pens and markers (don’t forget the sparkly ones!).  You could also use coloring sheets by cutting them out and then pasting them on your notebook.  I have a Pinterest board full of some that would be great.  For some somewhat detailed tutorials you can follow or use as inspiration, see:

I recommend just decorating the cover and leaving a space somewhere near the top for you to label the notebook, but it’s up to you!  You can decorate the spine and back as well.  I find it useful to label each notebook on the front and spine, that way if it’s on a shelf you can tell what it is, and if it’s laying face up you can as well.

Binders

If you’re using a binder that doesn’t have a zipper and has the pocket to insert a paper on the front (like these), you can cut a piece of paper to fit in your binder’s cover and decorate it like described above in the Notebooks section of this post.  Just slide it in the front when you’re done, and you’re ready to go!  If you decide to, you can also decorate the back and spine with pieces of paper cut to fit each area, as previously mentioned in this section.

Lockers

If you have a locker, you can get magnets in shapes of flowers and leaves, as well as fairies.  You might also want to have a storage bin for extra writing utensils, which you can decorate by wrapping some scrapbook paper around and adding stickers or drawings to.  If you’re lucky, you can find a chalkboard or whiteboard with fairies on it at your local dollar store.  If that doesn’t work, you can get a plain one and add a strip of paper to the side as a border.  Decorate the border with stickers and drawings.

If you do end up decorating any of your on supplies, feel free to send me the pictures!  I’d love to see them.  🙂

Welcome to WordPress!

The Pixie Diaries

welcomehai

Hi guys, June here!

I’ve got some exciting news to tell you all – the blog you know as The Pixie Diaries has opened a new department over here on WordPress as well!

That’s right – however the main one is still over on Blogger so whatever I post there first, I’ll make sure to share here as well.

I’d also like to ask  you to not be hasty with me as this place is rather new to me so I’ll need time to learn how everything works ( especially the widgets – I’m trying right now as we speak! ).

So, till further notice I’m welcoming you to the WordPress version of The Pixie Diaries!

Fly with you all later,

Dal’s Diary: Getting Ready!

Dalila has been missing since June 18, during breakfast!  Can you figure out where she’s gone?  Here’s her last known entry.

Dalila's Diary

June 18, Breakfast

Hello, diary.

I’m signing my Summons right now, while I’m in the Tearoom. I’m hoping to drop it off at the Pixie Postings stand soon, so it can be accepted and approved before noon today. If I do get it sent in in time, I can be ready and on my way to the Mainland tomorrow!

I’m hoping to be all packed and ready before bed tonight. If I don’t turn it in today, or it doesn’t get accepted, I’ll be shipped out on one of the late pixie dust carriers.

Anyway, I’m going to see Ginger and Buttercup later to say goodbye. Since they’re art and tinker-talents, they can’t come to the Mainland with me. I wish they could, but the Never Council sa-

July News, Updates, and Plans

I’m really thankful for all the amazing support the PBC has shown me, as well as a few stray crafting blogs.  I can’t thank you guys enough.  I’ve had this blog for about 6 weeks, and I’m really glad that I started it.

That being said, this month’s views went up from June’s to:

Visitors: 78

WordPress Followers: 13

I hope to actually start my blog series, Touring Disney, soon, but I’m having some issues with files on my computer and adding them to WordPress, so I might have to wait a little longer for this to become a reality.

I’m still looking for some additions to Fight for the Hollow, so if you have any information you think should go there, feel free to leave a comment on the page and let me know so I can add to it.  I’ll being updating other pages quite a bit this month (as well as adding new ones), so keep an eye out.

Don’t forget to blog bomb this month!  Our target is Sarah Icedrop.

We still need your help with the current PEF Mission, #BringBackTheTalentGames, so make sure to share the petition and the poll on social media, your blog, and with family and friends.  If you haven’t all ready signed and voted, go ahead!  It’s not too late!

The Pixie Prom was a huge success, so a big thanks to everyone that helped to make that so.  I sadly never got to participate, but I’m looking forward to future events like this one that are timezone friendly to me.

I’m looking forward to sharing some awesome posts with you this month.  I have a couple drafts that have been hanging around I forgot to schedule.  I’ve got an interview, reviews, and DIYs coming your way.  You’re going to love them for sure!

I’m also now on Facebook.  🙂  Feel free to send me a friend request while I figure out what all the buttons do.  I’m also on Pinterest, so check my boards out.

I wanted to make a few changes to my blog this month, but I wasn’t sure which were worth making and which just weren’t interesting enough, so I thought I’d leave them up to you!  I’d make a poll, but I think that could get confusing fast, so just leave your opinions in the comments.  🙂

One thing I thought about doing was blogging about Disney, but I wasn’t sure if that was something you guys were interested in.  No Disney at all, or just some?  Are there any franchises you guys don’t like, or like a lot more than others?

I also thought about doing a blog roll, with information like anniversaries, arrival days, and what the blog posts about (makeup, fairies, Disney, etc.).  Would you guys use it?

What do you guys think about me changing the theme?  I like the way it looks now, but I want a front page like Marigold’s, that way I can organize stuff a bit easier.  What do you guys think?

What did you think of my story, The Lost Rabbit?  I might update it soon, so there’s also that to keep an eye on.

As always, you guys are really inspirational to me.  Thanks for every post, comment, reblog, and like you’ve given me.  Your stamp of approval means more to me than it should.  😛

Yours,

Crystal Oakbelle
