I’m happy to announce that the PBC Monthly Task Force consists of Raven Mistycloud, Marigold Sunjewel, Rose Morning Mist, Anastasia Nightbelle, and myself. We won’t be accepting any more members at the moment.
Also, the first newsletter will be published this July! I hope to have it in your inboxes on the first, but with timezones and busy schedules it might be the day after or before. You can subscribe at this link.
I thought I’d take a minute to answer some questions that I’ve been recieving a lot of, as well as some questions I think you’ll have.
What will the newsletter contain?
The newsletter will be a news source for all of the PBC. It contains news from other sites outside of WordPress aditionally, such as the Pixie Hollow Forums, Fairy ABC, and any other fairy blogging sites out there. Articles update on active petitions, pixie arrival days and blog anniversaries, PEF and PSS missions, PBC events, writing competitions, etc. You can think of it as a newspaper for the world of Pixie Hollow.
How will I recieve the newsletter?
You can subscribe through the online mailing list, which will send you the scheduled email containing all of the above listed awesome information every month. You will not receive more than one email a month concerning the newsletter through this subscription. The only exception to that would be the confirmation email when you subscribe, and if you decide to unsubscribe there is an additional confirmation email. That being said, the newsletter will be sent from firstname.lastname@example.org and the confirmation emails will come from email@example.com.
Is it safe?
I’m using an external site to connect two of my emails to the newsletter, but it is safe. I’ve tested the system and have not received any spam, unwanted emails, or malware since subscribing to a newsletter I set up for test purposes.
What if I don’t have an email?
In the case of any pixie not having an email, you can follow pbcnewsletter.wordpress.com on July 1st. If you try to follow the blog before that day, you won’t be able to because of restrictions. The articles will be on the blog for everyone to see.
If you have any questions, please leave them down in the comments and I’ll answer them. 🙂
